Biography
After amassing over 1 million streams in 2021 from their debut EP ‘Macabre Arcana’, Australian horror-inspired deathcore/hardcore act Ten Thousand Crows are back with their heaviest track yet, the dark and crushing 'Cathedral'. Following up from a successful year, the band wasted no time in writing and recording the next evolution of their sound, heading outside of their hometown of Sydney to track in isolation. "We are so completely dedicated to the music when we go away," says vocalist George Mackenzie. "It's a really liberating process that we will most likely repeat for every major release moving forward." Their sixth single release to date, ‘Cathedral’ sees the band continue their love of writing songs that exist in a larger world. Mackenzie continues, “While our previous singles all told different individual stories relating to the tarot card it was based on, Cathedral is our first release that ties into something a lot larger. Whilst we can’t reveal exactly what is installed for the future, we can say we are putting the finishing touches on it right now and it is sounding incredible.” "We experimented with a lot of different horror influences in Macabre Arcana," explains Jordan (guitar), "like the vampires from The Lovers, or the doomsday cult in The Moon. We've definitely retained that aspect this time as well, only on a larger scale, with one story told through multiple releases."
