Biography
Chemutai Sage is mostly known for her break out collaboration ‘So-Alive’ which she released early 2013 featuring well known Kenyan rapper, Octopizzo. She is a classically trained pianist and self taught guitarist. Not one to be put inside a box, her music can be described as a fusion of R&B, neo-soul and pop with a hint of African rhythm. In September 2015 She released her debut album Expose Yourself (a project she deemed a book about herself), from which the song Heaven was used on the soundtrack for Kenyan Award winning film 'Rafiki'. At the end of July 2020, Chemutai Sage released a 5 track EP- Jungle Trap that cemented her comeback to the Kenyan music echelons. Followed up by her newest release Wild Trip together with Kenyan brass player and member of The Nairobi Horns Project, MacKinlay. The song shows her dynamism and speaks to different musical genres. So far the journey has just begun for the singer. Follow for more badass jams. ✨
