For NGOGA, musical expression has been a way of life since before he could speak, describing it as a way to make sense of the world around him, one of his first connections with God. Born in the heart of Africa, with the riches of Congolese rhythm and religious spiritual song intonation, he found his voice oceans away, serenading classmates with r&b songs in grade school. As life got bigger and the world evolved, so did his love for understanding and capturing it all on a beat. He leaned heavily towards generational zeitgeists like Lauryn Hill, 2 PAC, & 2000’s Kanye for inspiration. They helped shape his sound around introspective messaging, heart felt melodies, and style fusing production. Whether he wants to talk about his own human experiences or he’s just up for a good time, he bares his full expression in the music.
