Biography

ibens had a huge and dedicated following in the late 1990's. After a long break, the three founding members of the band met again to create the album carstenshenrikskristians (2019). It secured ibens a surprising comeback: The album was being hailed by critics and fans and was securied a spot for several weeks on the Top 40 vinyl hitlist as number one. Even though many years have passed, ibens is still considered one of the most original bands in Danmark with their combination of a defined rock trio sound, ambient textures and lyrics which offers a view of the world completely unheard of by other Danish bands. The forthcoming album, Cocio & beton, will be released 28 October 2020. It contains ten songs, among these the two singles 'Ikke en kærlighedssang' and 'Skylder det hele væk' (will be released 21 August 2020).
