Chainska Brassika toured the UK in 2022 to promote their 3rd studio album ‘Tales of a Londoner’, released 25th March. The Ostroda World Reggae Champions new album comprises a record number of hard-hitting Ska anthems, blazing horn lines and classic geezer vocals; refining their renowned energetic live show with studio prowess, aided by producer Grippa Laybourne of The Hempolics - to bring a fresh, new wave version of classic British Ska, mastered by Dubmatix. A hot, sweaty dancing feast is guaranteed as the band promise to get the masses “bouncing from start to finish!” Chainska Brassika are a Ska Reggae band, from south-east London - household staples of the global Ska scene, with audiences across the UK, Europe and beyond, joined by Guitarist Stevie Lawrence. The band have performed in various spaces from Alexander Palace to Glastonbury, having played historic shows at the Jazz Cafe, Boomtown Fair and Rototom Sunsplash Festival, as well as supporting The Skatalites, Madness on two stadium tours and the late Toots & the Maytals. With support from radio champion, David Rodigan MBE, Chainska’s music is broadcast on BBC1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, 2 & 6, along with BBC Maida Vale Live Session for Rodigan, acoustic performance on BBC London Robert Elms show, plus support from underground radio extraordinaire, L.Cassio.
