Biography

A powerhouse indie rock band from the little town of Mansfield, The Publics combine catchy riffs with powerful choruses to create a stadium worthy atmosphere. In just 5 months the group consisting of Josh Porter (Vocals/Guitar), Elliot Stephenson (Lead Guitar), Ebony Broughton (Keys/Vocals), Ollie Siggee (Drums) and Tom Scott (Bass) went from playing in a neighbour’s back garden to a high-profile support slot with The Reytons. In May 2022 the band sold out Rough Trade Nottingham and have since performed with artists such as Corella, Deco and The Clause. Fresh from their debut UK tour in April 2023, the band will be performing at a handful of UK festivals throughout the summer including YNOT, Splendour Festival and Camper Calling as well as opening for The Sherlocks at Rock City in October. In December, the group play their biggest headline show yet at The Bodega in Nottingham.
