Biography

With a Spanish mother and a French father, Billie Bird graces her audience, electric guitar in hand, with her deep musical universe and journey. A sort of jubilant and inclusive folk that carries the crowd away in a vibrant wave of sincerity and humanity, in French in the text. Rhythms on the edge and harmonies that soar, her guitar accompanies a strong voice, which sometimes comes from the head (hard) and sometimes from the gut (tight). In 2018, His track "La Nuit" seduced the public and the media, successfully transcending the borders of his native Switzerland. Les Inrockuptibles will say, "This track is a real quivering, pulsating hit of French-language pop..." She has already performed in many venues and festivals in Switzerland and internationally (Paleo Festival, Montreux Jazz Academy, Antigel Festival, Centre Pompidou, MarocFolies, Japan (tour cancelled due to Covid), Pop Up du Label, ...) but also in other projects like "Constellations" with Gauthier Toux and Anne Paceo. In 2018, she released 3 EPs " with her own label "Les Exploratrices" created the same year. In 2019, she won her 1st prize "National language award" during the "Swiss live talents" competition which consecrate the talents of the Swiss scene. She is currently preparing an album to be released in 2022.
