Biography

The year is 2008: In a basement room in the province, the two school friends start producing strange sounds for the first time. Afterwards, they decide to form a band, as millions of other teenagers have done before them, to achieve fame and honour and creatively live out their youthful naivety. 
 More than a decade later, the motives are different and the two are at the beginning of a new chapter with a new sound. The duo Tonic Walter from Munich inspires by combining unconventional synthesizer sounds with guitars and organic drum grooves, giving the songs a special energy that the two had missed in the electronic music scene. The indie electronica sound is completed by vocal parts from feature guests like Nina Nst, David Gramberg or SWSL¥ with pop elements. Streaming services quickly discovered their innovative sound, leading to placements in Spotify's Fresh Finds, Electronic Rising, Lowkey Tech, Beats to think to and numerous other editorial playlists on various platforms.
