Biography
The LLA is a project that started in the US with songwriter Tim Tercero, and further developed in Vienna, Austria. The writing style is theatrical and the music is dynamic, and with a deep and rich vocal character, the songs are sung in a range from sweet to ragged. Typically the songs are written by Tim alone in his home studio, and are sent off to the other band members for feedback and input before being taken into the studio. The collaborative spirit of this project puts the characters of each band member on display and allows for a certain freshness to take over the song's development. They keep the sound true to the alternative/indie roots of Tim's musical background with grainy synth bass, bouncy e-bass, distorted guitars, driving drums, and reflective lyrics. To date, The L.L.A. has released three EPs on Tim's own label, Tercero Music, and will release a debut album in 2023. Influences include The National, Arcade Fire, the Flaming Lips, Perfume Genius, Future Islands, The Killers, and The Pixies.
