Freumhan Falaichte – Hidden Roots is the brand-new album from Gaelic singer, songmaker, poet and writer Gillebride MacMillan. Well-known for his role as Gwyllyn the Bard in Outlander, this real-life bard released his most recent album on Friday 14th September 2018. All 11 tracks on this album are self-composed melodies and self-written lyrics in Gillebride’s native Gaelic. Freumhan Falaichte is a body of work that explores personal, societal and political themes, as well as Gaelic traditions and customs. Gillebride has perfomed all over the world at Outlander concerts showcasing his role as 'Gwyllyn the Bard' and he has appeared on two soundtracks for the show. Diana Gabaldon, the multi-million selling author of the Outlander books, has also written a foreword for the new album. Freumhan Falaichte is produced by Mhairi Hall and showcases a fantastic line-up of musicians - including Julie Fowlis, Rosa Cedrón, Fraser Fifield, Ewan MacPherson, Natalie Haas and Donald Hay.
