Ghost of Christmas, noticed and signed in 2015 by Laurent Garnier, has just released a new EP « Sideways ». Since their first acclaimed EP « Awake » with bass music and catchy beats, their musical identity has evolved. « Connect the Dots » had confirmed the dual dimension of their music, both introspective and communicative, dark and luminous, which was waving between UK Bass and electronica. « The difference » was a turning point in the Ghost of Christmas universe. As the group was boosted by the audience’s craze for exclusive live songs, they decided to give their tracks a more festive beat. On stage, they play with the light in order to fade into or stand out of the setting. In the studio, they enjoy remixing and collaborating with several producers such as French 79, Nass El Hal, Jay Robinson,… With « Sideways » they are making their own way by asserting a more instrumental musical and less melacholic identity. But, the emotion remains intense : one cannot escape from some feeling of emergency. With « Sideways », Ghost of Christmas music is definitely meant to be felt more than listened to.
