A dynamic and versatile virtuoso, Girishh Gopalakrishnan is a contemporary music composer with a truly global outlook. With diverse experiences in composing music for feature films, short films and advertisements in India and in the UK, Girishh evokes a gamut of emotions through his music. Having studied Indian Classical music under the Legend Lalgudi G. Jayaraman, as well as film composition and music production in the UK, Girishh’s approach to composition involves a unique sensibility, sonic sensitivity and well-honed craftsmanship. Girishh made his debut in the Tamil film industry with Director Pandiraj's Marina; the audio and the film's soundtrack released to critical acclaim. It was followed by Vidiyum Munn in 2013, the trilingual horror hit Aval (Tamil), Gruham (Telugu) and The House Next Door (Hindi) in 2017. The music of Aval and score was raved by audience, critics alike for bringing the sound of International Horror to Indian cinema. He went on to diversify into the mainstream with acclaimed soundtracks for Iruttu (2019), Mookuthi Amman (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and Mookuthi Amman (Original Background Score) (2020), Netrikann (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2021), Veetla Visesham (2022) and Kolai (2022). Girishh is currently one of the most sought after composers in South Indian Cinema. Girishh's independent music career includes songs from the cult classic Yaar Bharathi? Kadhalan Bharathi, an album exploring the work of the legendary poet.
