Biography

Wiji Kun (whose real name is Luigi Balazo) is primarily an alternative/indie solo artist based in Cebu, Philippines. Having worked as a producer and songwriter on acts such as Sepia Times (previously under Sony Music), The Sundown (under Island Records), Hazy Daisy and Turtle Party, he’s made his debut as a solo artist in 2021 with his single “Quarantine Zone” and consequent single “Die Right Now” and is paving a straight path forward in the local scene. Following his initial singles, he put out his first collective body of work “Sick Of It Already”, a short but sweet indie EP containing the previously launched songs as well as new tracks. With a handful of material already distributed, Wiji Kun shows no signs of slowing down as he sets off crafting even more music to be released at least once a month.
