Biography

Hollow Hour is a curious mixture of heavy, progressive guitar sounds and majestic drum rhythms combined with catchy choruses, centered on melodic vocals. Adding to the spectrum of the Scandinavian metal scene, Hollow Hour takes you on an eventful ride in the heavy, progressive soundscape. The band has a distinguishable, modern sound blended with a relatable lyrical universe, focusing on humanity’s biggest inner conflicts and imperfections. Their sound supports their lyrical themes, ranging from narrations of superhuman ideals, as well as vulnerable, honest depictions of the band members’ lives. 
 Having their early beginnings in southern Zealand, three of the current band members united in 2015, playing club shows and writing demo material under the name Mosaik. The name later changed into Hollow Hour as the band started focusing on their debut album, which was written during and after the covid lockdowns and was recorded and produced in and around Copenhagen. This process shaped Hollow Hour’s sound; moulding its modern approach to progressive metal. Today, Hollow Hour members are looking forward to the release of “Till the Grey Skies Are Gone” as a solid addition to the scope of the Scandinavian metal scene.
