Biography

TIME PRIMER is a progressive metal band formed into its present line-up in 2018. Though the roots go deep into progressive metal, influences from different music styles can be heard in our songs. Still, progressive pulse, distinctive harmonies and catchy melodies are the musical root and stem in Time Primer. The story begins with the founding duo, our guitarist Janne & bassist Antti. One afternoon they found themselves writing music like many times before, but as there were just the two of them they wanted to expand. Decisions were made in order to form a completely new band for the new music they had been writing. Before our drummer Sami joined the ranks, they had a dozen demos done for the "soon-to-be-band". Now only a vocalist was needed. After a few months of searching Mika was found from a bunch of people applying for the post available. Now the band was a whole. No time wasted, Time Primer started rehearsing and deciding what was about to become their first release. After careful production the band recorded its debut EP ”Obstinate”. The prime release saw its daylight in January 2019 and it got quite elating and even praising feedback from reviews and listeners. The proper foundation for the new band was built. In 2020 the band has released two singles "The Manipulators" & "All Is Lost". Come 2023 and it's finally time for the debut album. "Artefact" is released on 23/02/2023.
