Biography
"I'm obsessed with the guitar line - I just think it's great!" – Gemma Bradley (BBC Radio 1) “Already been supported by Nick Roberts in the North East, and no wonder!” – Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6) “No ordinary modern shoegaze band... These guys are paving way for anew era of British dreamy indie-pop” – Indietronica Cat Ryan quickly made a distinctive & lasting impression on their home city of Newcastle upon Tyne when they released 'Mannerism' in March 2020, perfectly showcasing their exhilarating brand of Art-Gaze Indie. Their atmospheric live shows display each member's distinctive personality on stage & gives audiences a fresh perspective of the band's ever-growing discography. The group have a genuinely alternative sound that echoes the angular melodies of Hippo Campus and the gripping hooks of Two Door Cinema Club. Since their formation in 2018, the band have received overwhelming support, with Lost My Connection featured on Radio 1, Mannerism on Radio 6, and numerous plays on other BBC Introducing shows across the country. The band continue to go from strength to strength, having completed a 7-date UK tour playing Newcastle, Carlisle, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester. With festival appearances confirmed for Truck, Y Not, Belladrum, Solfest, Bingley Weekender & Last Train Home, 2023 is proving to be their biggest year yet. Cat Ryan’s new single ‘Like This’ paves the way for their anticipated summer EP.
