Biography

Phovea’s based out of the San Fernando Valley, we’re an indie rock band influenced by many and different types of genres. 
 The band was formed early 2012 by guitarist Francisco Gonzalez, drummer Josh Duran, & bassist Fabian Galvez. Singer, Damian Romero was then later introduced to the band by a mutual friend from Los Angeles Misson College. Young, dumb, and just a bunch of valley kids filled with energy, our home recording of Phovea’s EP was released in 2014 produced by Josh Duran. 
2018- Sucker For The Weekend EP was released, and had new member guitarist/keyboardist Fred Vafai on the album who joined the band early 2016. Sucker was produced by Franky Hernandez at Los Angeles Valley College and was also worked on by Josh Duran. 
2019- Single, Soft Watches was released February 18, 2019 and was produced by Brandon E Reyes at his studio in North Hollywood. Single, Flipside was released late 2019 November 24th and was produced by Josh Duran under Vale Records. Both singles had newest members, bassist Danny Chavez and drummer Demetris Vazquez. Bassist Danny Chavez joined from 2017-2019 and drummer Demetris Vazquez joined 2018. 
2020- Our most recent single Cactus Moon was released November 24, 2020 and was produced by Josh Duran under Audsol Records. Cactus Moon would also be welcoming our newest member, bassist Luigi Mendoza. 
Phovea’s currently working on more projects, and are expecting to drop an album by 2021.
