    Biography

    Lunar Shadow was founded by lead guitarist and main composer Max Birbaum. 
 The first release „Triumphator“ (2015) was self-released as an EP on CD and later re-issued on by Stormspell Records (CD) and Floga Records (Vinyl). 
 „Far From Light“ (2017) was Lunar Shadow‘s first full-length album and received international critical acclaim. The intentional lofi production and the weird, mystical and melodic landscapes of sound attracted many new fans. 
 „The Smokeless Fires“ (2019) was released as a second album, mastered by Håkan Akesson (fe. Dissection). The album was featured in all important metal magazines and scored high rankings in Deaf Forever, Iron Fist, Metal Hammer and Rock Hard. 
 „Wish To Leave“ (2021) introduced new elements of Post Punk into Lunar Shadow‘s sound. The album won the Soundcheck in Deaf Forever magazine and again received high critical acclaim. 
 Lunar Shadow has shared the stage with bands like Jex Thoth, Jag Panzer, Brocas Helm, Visigoth, Omen and Satan. 
 The band has stopped playing live recently but is still active in the studio.
