Biography
Through writing songs, Amsterdam based artist Sterre Weldring tries to untangle the complex emotions we all encounter. By describing her experiences from different angles, she hopes to find truth and comfort for herself as well as for others in need of it. Inspired by the likes of Florence + The Machine, James Bay and Hozier, her music can best be described as melancholic indie-pop. Since crafting her style whilst studying songwriting in Brighton (UK) and Philosophy in Amsterdam, she's toured The Netherlands during Popronde, performed at places such as Sofar London and NPO Radio 2, and gained attention on Spotify with her debut EP 'Lost Lights'. Sterre Weldring is currently finishing up her second EP, which is set for release later this year.
