Biography

Camille Camille is a Belgian singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist currently living in Amsterdam. After their paths crossed in 2019, Camille and Swedish producer Anders Lagerfors teamed up for her promising debut album Could You Lend Me Your Eyes (released on On The Level in 2021). As a result of being disrupted by the pandemic, the process of making this record has been quite a singular one. Part of the songs were recorded at the legendary Nackvings Studio in Gothenburg whilst the rest was humbly captured in Camille’s bedroom at her temporary home in Leipzig, Germany. Following the warmly acclaimed release, Camille got to hit the road with Liverpool based King Hannah on their first UK tour as support for the band. She then jumped aboard a second time and traveled Europe with them once more before doing it again accompanying Brooklyn’s duo Widowspeak. After buying a 30ft sailing boat with her partner, the sailor-photographer Vincent Leroi, in Denmark in the summer of 2022, Camille stranded in Amsterdam as the creative duo sailed their vessel down heading south. The singer has since then been living aboard her floating home on the waters of the dutch capital, wandering between Holland and Belgium where her bandmates and family reside, until the next chapter. Although longing for a stable home, Camille says moving place keeps her senses awake. Camille Camille is now actively working on her second album.
