Close To The Sky is a young and ambitious band whose music style is a blend between Progressive Metalcore and Djent but without falling into the stereotypes of these genres creating this way a sound characterized by its eclecticism. Among their influences are bands like Northlane, Architects, Volumes, Heart Of A Coward, Hacktivist or Vildhjarta. In September 2013, the year the band started, Close To The Sky published their first EP 'Time Lapse' and began playing in Spain with international acts such as Novelists, Fathoms, The Royal, Shoot The Girl First, To Kill Achilles, Merge, Napoleon... At the end of 2016 they released their debut album 'The Distant View' recorded at Treeline Studios and mixed and mastered by Nicolas Delestrade of NDSE Recordings (Betraying The Martyrs, Novelists, etc.). The band appeared in many online magazines around the world, including the Spanish magazine Rockzone, for which they also participated in their cover compilation 'The Bipolar Sessions vol. 4' with a version of the song 'Numb' by Linkin Park. Since the release of the album, the band has been gaining more and more fans around the world. They have shared the stage with international bands like Bury Tomorrow, Crystal Lake, Oceans Ate Alaska, Shokran and Our Hollow Our Home and played at big festivals like Resurrection Fest 2019. The band has released on YouTube and Spotify two new singles ‘Shades of Mind’ and ‘Blackout’ and will release more new songs before their next album is published.
