Biography
Melodic metalcore vets hailing from Virginia, RVNT (pronounced Revenant) add refined flair, passionate lyrics, and groovy riffs to craft a sensational listening experience. Persisting as a group for almost a decade, RVNT's lengthy discography is definitely worth a front-to-back listen. You may know them from one of their many heavy pop covers on collaborations with Ghost Killer Entertainment and We Are Triumphant, like Halsey's "Without Me" or Ellie Goulding’s "Hate Me". RVNT's brand of metalcore hinges on the vitriolic vocals from Ricky Gillis, with a comprehensive instrumental backdrop. Breakdowns, build-ups, chugs, blast beats - RVNT has it all, complemented with ample production to increase the intensity. With several pop covers under their hood, the metalcore presentation makes these tracks enjoyable in a completely different light. When RVNT isn't covering pop hits, their lyrics touch on the darkest subjects, like in the single "Home" that brings attention to addiction, domestic abuse, and abandonment. Consistency is RVNT's defining trait - a single from 2022 makes as much of an impact as a deep cut their 2017 hard-hitting single "Hollow". RVNT has always managed to stay busy over the years, consistently gigging, touring, and dropping new tunes. Sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the core genres and appearing at festivals like Blue Ridge Rock Festival, RVNT has made waves in recent years.
