Biography
There’s something cathartic about the way a live show can build a memory that burns so brightly and that’s packed with such a range of emotions from triumph to gloom to absolute joy. Sometimes it’s like the world is moving at half speed as you try to soak up the energy in the room and tuck it in your back pocket for a rainy day. Long Range Hustle are masters of creating that indescribable atmosphere. Whether it’s at a sold-out hometown show, on a tall festival stage with families scattered across the lawn or around a campfire with voices in harmony and single acoustic guitar, this band has a way of making magic happen. The five-piece indie rock outfit grew up in the woods of small-town Ontario and are now based in Toronto. The band’s hard work over the past few years has paid off with cross-Canadian headline tours, shows in the US, and support slots with The Glorious Sons, Matt Mays, and Arkells. You might have heard them on CBC and campus radio stations, or found them on your favourite Spotify or YouTube playlists. Long Range Hustle’s forthcoming album is full of emotionally turbulent lyrics, piano driven hooks, striking drums and bass, lush synths, ear catching guitar riffs and unforgettable four-part harmonies - all put together to form a variety of climactic moments. Just like their live show, these songs are bound to leave you with that bright spark to store in your pocket for when you need it the most.
