BROKOF released debut Softly, Softly, Catchee Monkey in 2010. Sophomore album Side By Side opened the bands work to a wider audience as it was highly praised by critics. With Eviction Notice BROKOF offered a first glimpse of Cool Fame (2016) and toured Europe with the EP as a giveaway to their fans. The ROLLING STONE saw it related to the work of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and The Who and called it „plain and beautiful“. A year later the band released Brother Equal, a collaboration with american singer/songwriter Random Willson. Fore! (2018) was „yet another fantastic release by Brokof: This time, the Berlin four-piece is shaping a more distorted and less romantic version of their Folk-Rock, at the same time everything sways wonderfully, disregarding the outcome; the small form beats the large gesture, Jeff Tweedy style. Again, one can hear how well Brokof play together, allowing the arrangements to breathe, instead of pinning them to the ground. There's "Cabin" a beautiful Wilco-sigh, the snotty smasher "A Ride" or the John Lennon song "Don't Give Up On Me Now" and "The World At Her Feet" venturing far and tripping with synths and psychedelic sounds." ROLLING STONE After spending two years working in creative seclusion BROKOF returned to society in 2022, releasing the single Share, followed up by Not At All and 6842123. With Only A Song & The Load the band announce the coming of their fifth studio album in the fall of 2023~
