Biography
Be reassured, French pop music is not under a cold spell. But the whole country is trembling with impatience for the arrival of Inuït, the young French band from Nantes, discovered by Benjamin Lebeau from The Shoes. The group of five boys, all childhood friends: Pablo on trombone and percussion, Rémy on synthesizer, Alexis on bass synthesizer, Pierre on sax and percussion with Simon, the back-up singer on drums were joined by Coline, the young female vocalist almost two years ago when the adventure began to take shape. Echoing Björk and the Cocteau Twins, Coline's diaphanous but powerful voice divinely superposes the band's energetic melodies. Influenced by Radiohead, electro and R&B, the band from Nantes aims to attract a wide audience. Inuït is on all fronts with the same verve, from simple pop to wild crescendos. Whether it be 'Dodo Mafutsi' with tribal vibes or the brilliant 'Anne' quoting Anne Brontë, this young group has a heart-touching force. And there is such sensitivity on stage, it's quite simply an unforgettable experience. The EP, also featuring 'Hush' and 'Circles', has a high concentration of powerful pop, both universal and modern, setting the stage for a much-awaited album in 2018. Such is the power of this band which, with its class and personality, opens new musical horizons, ranging from here to other distant lands. There's no doubt, French pop will never forget the instant Inuït first set foot on the ice with firm determination and immense talent.
