Biography

Formed in 2014, Minneapolis Minnesota's Villain of the Story can be described as a modern spin on 2010's metalcore fused with 2000's radio rock. To date the band has released 4 studio albums and an EP amassing 50+ million plays across all platforms. 
 Their debut album 'Wrapped in Vines, Covered in Thorns' was released through Stay Sick Recordings in 2017, which was supported with an opening spot for a handful of dates on I Prevail's 'Lifelines' tour. A year later the band went back to being fully independent and followed things up with 'Ashes' in 2018 (featuring the well received closing track "Peace of Mind"). 
 After two years of pushing songs off Ashes, Villain of the Story released another independent album 'Bloodshot' in late 2020 (featuring the fan favorites “Stuck" and "Bloodshot"). 
 VOTS closed out a busy 2021 by releasing the single "Losing Control" alongside their signing announcement with Out of Line Music. The song has gone on to become the bands breakout track which led to the bands strongest album yet, “Divided”, released in July 2022. 
 New music is currently being worked on.
