Biography
Freygolo has been around from 1997 to 2011, spreading their PunkRock/Ska everywhere. The 6 guys from Nice (South East of France ) had a strong reputation of live performers throughout their career, touring with bands like Strike Anywhere, Hot Water Music, Satanic Surfers, Mad Caddies, Less Than Jake, Big D and The kids Table, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mustard Plug, Authority Zero and so much more. In 2002 they released their first full length “Surprize Fool” (Black heart records) allowing them to tour throughout Europe (France, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Czechia...) With a wealth of touring experience under their belts, they released their 2nd full length “Time To Drop The Gun” (Truffle Shuffle Records) in 2004, full of energy and melodic hooks where the major influences of the band (NOFX, Catch 22) fade away to let Freygolo’s distinctive style break out. After 2 years of touring across Europe promoting “Time to Drop the Gun”, Freygolo took a break to write and record their 3rd album “Stereo Fighters” (Versus Ltd), which was acclaimed worldwide leading them to tour Japan with Less than Jake and Authority Zero, and to tour the USA with Voodoo Glow Skulls. Freygolo released its 4th record entitled “We All Have A Voice” (Goodbye September records) in 2010. This last effort is without any doubts their best material to date. With that record, they definitely made a name for themselves. They disbanded is 2011.
