Chanuka Mora (born 9th October 1997), is a Music Producer based in Sri Lanka. Chanuka has been active in the Sri Lankan music industry for 5 years. He has experience as a music composer, producer, mixing and recording engineer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and performer. Chanuka combines cultural Sri Lankan sounds with modern music bases, creating unique musical experiences. His productions range from traditional music, pop, acoustic, R&B , reggaeton, folk, electronica, drum & bass, and dubstep. In his early years, Chanuka was a member of the famed “Ranwala Balakaya”, a music group by Sahan Ranwala that had a huge impact on the Sri Lankan musical scene. Later on, Chanuka went on to learn the art of Audio Engineering under Kala Suri Diliup Gabadamudalige.Chanuka also played a major role in establishing the band, “Yaka Crew'', a collection of young artists that create unique music with a combination of western and Sri Lanakan music. He is currently the band lead of the group.Some of his most notable productions. “Yakkuth Pitiyata”, the first song written, produced, and performed by Yaka Crew. "Ravana", another original production by Yaka Crew. "Karawala Hodda" , a song with fresh sounds and demeanor.“Sobani”, part of Chanuka’s debut album as a solo artist, “Kalu Sudu”. This song became an instant favorite, and for good reason. Driven by passion, Chanuka will keep creating unique blends of music and bring fresh perspectives into the music industry.
