Biography

Children’s music artist Kira Willey is also a kids’ yoga and mindfulness expert and the author of Peaceful Like a Panda, Breathe Like a Bear, and the Mindfulness Moments for Kids board book series. Her children’s mindfulness books have been translated into 18 languages, and have sold more than 265,000 copies worldwide. Songs for Peaceful Pandas, Volume 1 is Kira’s sixth album of kids’ yoga and mindfulness songs. Her music has won numerous Parents’ Choice Gold, Independent Music and International Songwriting Awards; she was given the Joe Raposo ASCAP Children's Songwriting Award for her single “Real Girl.” Other hits include “Colors,” which was featured in a worldwide Dell ad campaign, and “Just Be,” which has been streamed more than two million times. Kira created and hosts several yoga-for-kids programs which air on PBS TV affiliates nationwide; and her TEDx talk, “Bite-Sized Mindfulness,” can be viewed online. Rockin’ Yoga, Kira’s membership program, is a thriving community of kids’ yoga educators bringing mindful practices to our next generation.
