Biography

I write folk pop music for children inspired by their innate curiosity and intelligence, weird and wonderful questions and with the purpose of supporting their imaginations, emotions and hearts. I love to snapshot a moment in a song so I can remember how it felt - the kids grow up way too fast don’t they!? I’ve been filling up notebooks and dictaphone tapes since I was young, and this songwriting continued into parenthood, Along the way I have been learning home recording to capture some of the highlights. I find it magical getting to collaborate on song making with producer friends and co writers near and far. We are not limited by distance, only the kids nap / school/ soccer practise schedules! My new album Firefly (6th full length project for families) is produced by Dean Jones at No Parking Studios in NY and that takes flight this September ❤️ look out for the singles on the way ✨🎶 I still make songs for grown ups with my friends in dance music act Substax and am trying to grow my songbook of original indie folk too.
