Biography
After a long break from songwriting, Scott Riggan reappeared on the indie Christian landscape in 2021 with Beautiful and Terrible - a collection of songs wrestling with faith and trust, hopes and dreams and regrets. With his next project Bright Hope, Scott reflects on grief and hope, pairing songs of lament (After the Shipwreck and Not Right Now) with statements of hope and trust (Shadowlands, Enough for You (The Map Song), We Will Feast in the House of Zion, and Bound to Come Some Trouble). While he's best known for I Love You Lord (which hit #1 on Christian radio and stayed on the Billboard charts for nearly 9 months), he's never really been a "worship artist." Other Top 20 singles include I See You (feat. Jaime Thietten) - an inventive cover of the Rich Mullins classic - and I Will Stand (The Solid Rock). Previous projects include Deep Roots (a hymns collection) and the Christmas album Peace On Earth. www.scottriggan.com
