Biography
Livingston grew up nestled between reality and fiction. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter and producer born Drake Livingston hails from Denton, Texas, where he would spend much of his youth honing in his passion for music and cinematography to combat his anxiety. His first EP, “Lighthouse”, which was self-produced and written in Livingston’s high school bedroom, caught the attention of Elektra Records, leading to a record deal at age 17. With a mix of sweeping orchestration, hip-hop drum programming, vivid lyrics and bold vocals, Livingston's music is driven by an unrelenting honesty that has earned him 110m+ global streams and over two million followers on TikTok. Growing up, Livingston was inspired by a range of artists, from Odesza and J. Cole to Imagine Dragons and Hans Zimmer. He's also had the opportunity to work with some of his childhood heroes, including full-circle collaborations on Macklemore’s “SORRY”, Louis the Child’s “Hole in my Heart” and Witt Lowry’s “The War I’m Scared to Face”. After 2 years of silence, now an independent artist, Livingston re-emerges from digital obscurity to share the songs that he’s been living through. Catch him on his 28-stop supporting tour with Witt Lowry this spring.
