Alper Tuzcu is a composer and a producer, who creates music that erodes the borders between styles and cultures. He has recorded songs by Grammy-winning musicians like Marcelo Woloski (Snarky Puppy, Banda Magda), Ganavya (Esperanza Spalding, Residente), and Javier Limón (Paco de Lucía, Wynton Marsalis). His music has been featured on NPR, BBC Radio, RTVé and many other media channels. Tuzcu's 2021 EP 'Raíz' was selected as one of the Top 10 EPs of 2021 by NPR affiliate radio The Latin Alt HD3 and one of the songs on this EP, 'Afortunado' also was selected to the NPR show World Cafe's official 'Best of 2021 LatinX' Playlist. His Bossa Nova composition "Felicidade", has reached more than 1M streams on Spotify and his LoFi track “Uzaklarda” was featured on Spotify Editorial playlists. Tuzcu previously performed at prestigious festivals and venues including Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), Shapeshifter Lab (New York), YouBloom Festival (Los Angeles), Bossa (Washington DC), Kallasch & Moabiter (Berlin), Gran Bodega Salto (Barcelona) and City of Arts and Sciences (Valencia). His full catalog has reached 5 Million streams and more than 1.5 Million listeners globally. In 2016, he was selected to become a voting member to the GRAMMY Awards, being one of the youngest musicians to achieve this distinction. Alper Tuzcu graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Magna Cum Laude degree in 2015 after winning a scholarship at the Umbria Jazz Festival.
