Biography
@The South WindOUT NOW!!!! Giulio Tampalini is the "guitarist with the sun in his eyes”, one of the best known and most requested Italian artists, he represents an exception in the world of the guitar: communicative, extroverted, sunny, his guitar is virtuous and luminous at the same time, practically unique in its kind. Impossible not to get involved in his enthusiasm and liveliness. A tireless globetrotter, he is never at rest, never tamed. After graduating with honors from the Cuneo Conservatory, he won the major international guitar prizes, the "Yepes" Competition in Sanremo, the "Sor" in Rome, the International Music Tournament in Rome twice, the "De Bonis" in Cosenza. In 2014 he received the Prize of Arts and Culture in Milan. His impressive record production counts more than 40 albums and won two Golden Guitars for the best album at the International Conference in Milan. He teaches guitar at the International Academy Foundation of Imola "Incontri con il Maestro" and at the Adria Conservatory; he also holds very popular masterclasses in Italy, Europe, Asia and America. Amadeus magazine dedicated the cover of the September 2022 issue to him, with his new attached CD dedicated to Manuel Maria Ponce.
