Biography

Mr. Strange are an alternative electro-rock band from the Isle of Wight, UK. They are known for their fondness of regularly changing musical genre’s, bizarre appearance, and extremely energetic live shows. The bands influences include; Oingo Boingo, Alice Cooper, Mr. Bungle, Gary Numan, Dr. Steel, Electric Six, Nine Inch Nails, Prince, David Bowie, Mushroomhead, XTC, Marilyn Manson, Queens of the Stone Age, PiG, Twiztid, Depeche Mode, Faith No More, RevCo, and a whole host of New Wave / Post Punk bands from the late 70's - early 80's. The band were formed in 2006 as an offshoot from cult circus/steampunk-rock band, The Shanklin Freak Show. The Shanklin Freak Show disbanded in early 2015 and Mr. Strange began to tour regularly soon after. Mr. Strange have had their music featured in a number of cult horror movies, including; Dolly Deadly, Talon Falls, Zombie Women of Satan 2 and Coulrophobia. In October 2018 the band released a Halloween single called ‘Black Magick’ with an accompanying music video, then the band released their ‘Best Of’ album, WTF?!, in March 2019. In February 2020, Mr. Strange released their 6th studio album, Contact.
