Biography
Lloyd Nicks is a St. Louis based Artist and Songwriter bridging the gaps between Gospel, Contemporary Worship, and Pop music. After completing a degree in Vocal Performance from Greenville University, he traveled internationally leading worship. Lloyd and his wife have decided to plant their roots in the St. Louis area. What an unconventional journey he has had. From his own words, “Everything that could go wrong has went wrong…BUT GOD.” Lloyd was not raised in a Christian home, and had an extremely abusive stepfather with a mother that was far too broken to leave. It was at the age of 14 when Lloyd began a personal relationship with Jesus. He quickly fell in love with the hymns and songs that would echo throughout the church. It would be those songs that would inspire him to do what he does today. After being a prominent voice in Christian music in St. Louis for many years Lloyd lost his mom to cancer on his 26th birthday. Instead of retreating, it sparked a fire like never before, which leads us to where we are today. Songs like Never Fail, Big God Big Love, Focus, and Learning to Forgive are all birth from a place of total surrender. Lloyd says, " I'm ready to bring a new flare to Christian music that ignites a passion for Jesus with bold lyrics and the occasional 808."
