Biography

Rock artist Adelaide, based out of Cape Girardeau Missouri, started as the solo project of Laura Respondek. Adelaide’s first LP, The Bigger Picture, was released in the summer of 2015. While recording at The Walker Bros. Studio, she was joined by studio guitarist Jake Bond. Once deciding to hit the road, they were then joined by drummer Eric Callahan. In 2016, Adelaide gained national notoriety when selected by the Christian Festival Association as a national talent search finalist. Since then, they have played at festivals such as Lifest and City on a Hill. In 2018 Adelaide won the Independent Music Academy’s CCM Independent Artist of the Year. That same year they were also joined by bassist Garrett Robison. Adelaide is excitedly anticipating the release of their second full length album, Strong and Brave, in the fall of 2018. The mission of Adelaide is to herald the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each member has been passionately compelled to carry out this mission from their own experiences with God. Their hope is to convey the importance of an authentic relationship with Christ and nurture spiritual growth.
