Biography

Deprivation call Australia home. A melodic groove metal outfit that have toured the country extensively since their inception in 2006. 
 After a self made Demo quickly sold out of several re-pressings, the band entered East Street Studios to professionally record their debut EP 'Re-Birth' in 2008. 
 Following several line-up changes, a fresh hunger and an ever growing fan base the 'D Crew' joined forces with Aussie music legend Darren 'jENK' Jenkins (Cryogenic, Mortality) to capture the raw, live sound on their debut LP. 
 They soon thereafter released fan favourite 'Murder Your Excuses' as a single in 2013, again working with jENK. 
 2018 single release of bludgeoning hard hitter 'Left for Dead'. 
 EPs ‘The Quick and the Dead' 2020 and ‘Ribcage’ 2021. Both mixed and mastered by Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch) at The Machine Shop. They’ve had the pleasure of sharing stages with international heavyweights such as Sacred Reich, Vio-lence, Kataklysm, King Parrot, Darkest Hour, Psycroptic and Max & Igor Cavalera. Deps latest triumph was becoming the winners of New Zealand & Australia’s leg of The Wacken Metal Battle! The lads will be representing Oz in Germany this August for the international finals at Wacken Open Air! Watch this space!
