Facing Waves consists of two songwriters, producers and most importantly - friends (Jimmy Södermark & Filiph Arveroth-Falk). Facing Waves' sound mixes elements of electronic and modern indie pop acts like Lauv, LANY and Post Malone with songwriting that comes from the heart. They capture their thoughts, emotions and stories, and bring them to life through their catchy melodies and hooks. Filiph Arveroth-Falk and Jimmy Södermark met as childhood friends back in 2008 with dreams of starting a band and touring the world. They formed several bands with genres ranging from alternative rock to post-metal. Fast forward to 2021, they decided it was time to try something new as they formed the pop project Facing Waves. But this time as a duo, with nothing stopping them from creating the music of their dreams. On December 2022, they released 'Change In Me', which got a good amount of traction by landing on big Spotify editorial playlists such as New Music Friday Sweden, New Music Friday Norway and New Music Friday Iceland. Their latest single 'Lost In Your Eyes' was released on friday March 10. It is an energetic dance-pop which will make you want to move and groove to the beat. It is the product of a great collaboration with two great up and coming artists Vibey Squares and Gabby Patrice. We're making something we love and we hope that you, maybe more than us - will get something out of our music.
