Great Cold Emptiness is a Quebec based post-black metal band from St. Agatha, Maine. The band is known for its atmospheric and cinematic soundscapes and heavy keyboard focused songwriting. It thematically follows frontman Nathan Guerrette's Acadian New England and Quebecois heritage as well as incorporating other themes such as the loss of childhood, the worship of divine matriarchal muses and the power of cultural regions in the development of the human soul. Great Cold Emptiness is currently working on its fourth full length album, set to be released in 2024.
