Biography

Pneuma was formed in 2003 and to date they have done absolutely nothing having a better chance of reinventing the hamburger than making it in the record industry. 2005 Released first EP "A Run Through" - Went on the "Awakening Tour" (Costa Rica and Panama). 2006 Voted Best Band of the Year and Best Live Performance. 2010 Released their first full length album "Anomaly" and released music video for their single "Dethroned" - Opening act for Metallica and Mastodon in San Jose, Costa Rica. 2011 - Went out on tour (Germany, Portugal and Mexico) - Winner of the W.O.A Metal Masters Competition - WET Stage Headliner at Wacken Open Air - Opening act for Judas Priest and Whitesnake in National Stadium, San José, Costa Rica - Opening act for Morbid Angel, San José, Costa Rica - Received Metal Album of the year award at the ACAM awards (Costarrican Music and Composers Association) - Awarded Best Music Video in the San José International Film Festival for "Crazed Apocalyptic Wave" 2012 - Performed dates in Portugal including the Barroselas Metal Fest. 2013 - Performed in Festival Siembra y Lucha sharing stage with Mayhem, Stratovarius, and Alestorm. 2017 - Launched third studio Album, The Game, and video for their new single "Slave". In 2018, Pneuma played in SXSW in Austin, Texas and released their video for "Watership Down". Pneuma is back in 2023, playing shows and will be releasing a video for "Gorilla in Opium" and a studio performance of "Changes" before recording new material.
