Biography
Trained classically in voice/piano at The Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Australia, Alison moved to London in 1988. Alison found her way swiftly into the world of West End theatre, starring in numerous productions. She received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress, playing the role of pole-dancing 'Shawntel' in Jerry Springer the Opera at The Royal National Theatre. It was at this time that she recorded a demo for SONY of her song from the show, "I Just Wanna F**king Dance" produced by Marius De Vries. Whilst the track was never released by SONY, the 'white label' they produced went viral and has enjoyed 18 solid years of airplay in gay clubs worldwide. Alison performed the track at Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras as a soloist and duetted with friend Tina Arena. Alison has enjoyed a varied musical career. She has released four solo albums embracing a wide variety of vocal styles and has collaborated with UK trumpet player Adam Linsley on their upcoming album BABY I'M A FOOL (release Aug 7th 2022). A regular soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Halle Orchestra, Alison has performed on the UK's most prominent concert platforms; a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall on many occasions. Here she also duetted with the glorious Kristin Chenoweth. She also duetted live with Grammy Award winning David Phelps at IndigoO2 in London, who inspired her crossover Christian album, INSPIRATIONAL.
