Biography

Martha Ffion is the musical project of Claire Martha Ffion McKay. Raised in Warrenpoint, County Down, McKay began writing music when she moved to Glasgow and taught herself to play guitar. She gained recognition as one of Scotland’s most promising songwriters when Lost Map released her single, ‘No Applause’ in 2015. The debut album, ‘Sunday Best’ came out in March 2018 and was among twenty albums long listed for 2018’s Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) prize.
