Biography
Matt Ngesa is a singer-songwriter living in Nairobi, Kenya performing and self-producing indie, rock and pop music. Starting out in 2015, Ngesa first interacted with music in the church and later graduated to studio recordings and performing the music he created opening for Christian Rap artists like Andy Mineo, as well as artists in Nairobi such as Men of Soul (Kenya). Having released his first EP in the heat of the pandemic, Ngesa started his music career as a solo artist in 2020. He used the delivery of the “Rem Me EP” to place a solid spotlight on his own ability to carry the stage and his own scene after years of being a supporting role for other artists, friends and family. His latest releases: Indie Pop single "Oh Shoot" and the rock single "River," aim to regale the stage with high energy and fun pop, nostalgic tunes.
