Brothers in bands, quite often that’s asking for trouble. Pop history is filled with it. However, that’s not the case with Orange Skyline. Brothers Stefan and Niels van der Wielen form an ideal creative couple. Aided by drummer Mart Atema and bassist Simon ‘Benus’ Christiaanse, together they make up for the four classical elements: Stefan - fire, Niels - water, Mart - earth and Simon - air. This Amsterdam-based foursome provides high-octane pop-rock. With producer JB Meijers Orange Skyline has recorded a very energetic self-titled label debut for Sony Music, slated for release at a later date. With JB they have also written two of the twelve tracks for the new album. Prime example is first single ‘Shine On’, an absolute hymn. It makes your heart beat faster and in no time you’ll sing along. You immediately feel their urgency. Wait for the intensity to increase with their eponymously titled label debut.
