Biography

Lesley Roy is a singer/song-writer from Dublin, Ireland, who splits her time between her home in the East Village in NYC and Ireland. Lesley released her debut album, Unbeautiful, in 2008, which was executive produced by Max Martin. Lesley has written with all the heavy pop hitters, Max Martin, Dr.Luke, Diane Warren, Desmond Child and Kart Perry. As a song-writer, Lesley's career has been prolific, lending her talents to numbers performed by artists including Adam Lambert, Miss Montreal, Medina, Jana Kramer, Marlee Scott, Ashlyn Huff and Deorro. Lesley has toured across America, written for film and tv played at Coachella and now in 2020 fulfilling a lifelong dream of performing for Ireland in the Eurovision. Lesley Roy said that getting to represent Ireland in 2020 with a song she worked extremely hard on has been one of the highest points in her career so far. "We wanted something uptempo and triumphant, which centres around overcoming your difficulties in life and getting back up again," Lesley says about her recent release Story Of My Life" She credits early Motown, Burt Bacharach and Fleetwood Mac among her early musical influences, and more recently, she has been inspired by acts in Kacey Musgrave, Robyn and Christine and The Queens.
