Peenoise creates otherworldly compositions; a harmonious blend of buzzing minimal synths with washes of experimental guitars, topped by the brothers' haunting vocals. Leaving room for the songs to breathe, the result is a mysterious kind of Avant pop; captivating, spacious yet vulnerable at the same time. Furthermore Gilles, Cesar & Titus have a soft spot for weird and absurd imagery that seamlessly connects the songs to the videos, often hinting at possible new worlds. After an EP release in 2017, they went back to the studio to record their debut album “Forevergem” which was released in the spring of 2020 and was met with very positive reviews. Together with their deserved victory on the Belgian Sound Track competition, they immediately proved to be one of the freshest and most promising Belgian artists of the moment with shows in renowned venues like Vooruit & Handelsbeurs. Their EP 'Headwalking' continued with dissecting catchy fantasies that spiral from a dark descent to an atmospheric soil, where melancholic voices and gloomy soundscapes meet. Words, sounds and images dance shakily to reach the surface and deliver heartfelt blows. Screaming for irony, putting things into perspective, but at the same time driven by great finesse and necessity. Together in solitude at a crazy party that ends in a victory of heroic sadness.
