Biography

Jozy Bernadette is an independent singer/ songwriter based in Music City, Nashville, TN. Jozy is a 90’s kid at heart. She was born and raised singing on the legendary great plains of North Dakota. From an early age she set her sights high on becoming a professional singer. She grew up as the baby of 5 making her musical influences come from many different genres. Her mother showed her the power of music at church; her voice coach ignited a love for jazz and opera; her dad showed her the magic in country music; her brothers let her listen to everything from Dave Matthews to Biggie to Tupac; her sisters blessed her ears with the Spice Girls, Madonna and Prince. From recording her own cassette tapes and auditioning across the country Jozy landed a spot on “NBC’S The Voice, Team Gwen S12”. That propelled her to write, record and release her own music which is said to be “a mixture of old school R&B mixed with todays pop industry sounds”.
