Biography
Irish singer-songwriter, Rebecca Winckworth, has graced the world's most prestigious stages, from Beijing to Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, New York and more! She was a longstanding member of Anúna, the original Riverdance singers, with whom she toured the world and recorded numerous TV shows including “Christmas Memories”, and award-winning projects including the soundtrack for Diablo III, a video game that sold over 30 million copies. As a soloist and lead singer, Rebecca has toured globally with shows such as Ragús, Titanic Dance and Celtic Nights. She was special guest with Billboard #1 Group Celtic Woman on their PBS TV Special “Destiny" in 2016, the album of which was nominated for a Grammy award. During the pandemic, she founded Citizens of Song, a virtual concert series that included over 500 artists and 130,000 audience members across the globe. As a voiceover artist, Rebecca has recorded a range of projects, including the TV series “Dapinty”, which was nominated for an International Emmy Award (2022). Based between Colombia and Ireland, Rebecca’s songwriting style represents her global outlook; mixing her Irish roots with international sounds and influences. Last year, she performed her original show 'The Long Road - My Musical Journey Through Latin America' to a sold-out audience in Dublin. She now plans to take this show on the road across- perhaps to a theatre near you?
