Biography
As a member of Reflection Music Group, Canon has built his name through the popular Loose Canon mixtape series, all three of which have charted on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums list. His debut project, Blind World, dropped in 2011 as he learned the ropes of the game opening for other seasoned artists after moving to Atlanta. A Chicago native, Canon moved around the city a lot while growing up. However, he was able to find stability, security, and a sense of belonging within his community. He started attending a youth group called “The House” when he was a teenager. This is where he first found an intersection between his faith and his deep passion for Hip Hop. From there, Canon moved to Memphis to attend college. He continued to develop his craft as more than just a rapper, but as a producer and music engineer. A major accident in 2014 forced the rapper to put his life into perspective. Things that use to matter before the incident did not carry the same weight. He found a new sense of freedom, no longer feeling the pressure to conform to anyone else’s standards but God’s. He now resides in Nashville with his wife where he continues to develop his career as a recording artist and multi-faceted creative.
